چکیده
The field experiments were conducted during two consecutive seasons of kharif (June to October), 2016 and 2017 at the Experimental Research Farm, ICAR Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre, Medziphema, Nagaland, India. treatments consisted four planting geometries i.e. maize+black gram (1:1), (2:2), maize+soybean (1:1) (2:2) three weed management practices weedy check, pre-emergence application pendimethalin @ 1.0 kg a.i. ha-1+one hand weeding (1HW) 30 DAS weedings (2HW) 20 40 DAS. experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with factors comprising twelve treatment combinations replicated times. results revealed that among geometry, recorded highest control efficiency (WCE) reduced population, fresh weight dry monocot dicot 60 gave maximum maize equivalent yield (4374.96 ha-1). Among management, 2HW lowest weight, as 4591.10 ha-1 which par ha-1+1HW 4461.80 ha-1. net return (` ha-1), per rupee invested B: C ratio from ` 36624.05 closely followed by Rs. 35428.81

Maize (Zea mays L.).
Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation is an effective method for introducing genes into maize. In this chapter, we describe a detailed protocol for genetic transformation of the maize genotype Hi II. Our starting plant material is immature embryos cocultivated with an Agrobacterium strain carrying a standard binary vector. In addition to step-by-step laboratory transformation proced...

in order to evaluate the effects of intercropping of maize- peanut, weeding and their planting design on weed population dynamics, an experiment was conducted as a factorial experiment in the form of rcbd with three replications at the research farm of agriculture center of zabol university (iran) in 2012. the treatments including sowing system in four levels as first factor (sole maize, sole ...
متن کاملWeed Composition in Maize (zea Mays L.) Fields under Smallholder Conservation Farming
Smallholder farmers in southern Africa have reported on increased labour requirements for hoe weeding due to high weed infestations in conservation farming (CF) fields. However, CF proponents claim that weed pressure and labour requirements for weeding decrease within the first three years under the recommended CF practices. An observational study was carried out during the 2008/09 cropping sea...
متن کاملEffects of aluminum toxicity on maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings
Aluminum toxicity is one of the most deleterious factors for plant growth in acidic soils because over 50% of the world’s potentially arable lands are acidic. In recent years, considerable research has been conducted to understand the mechanisms of Al toxicity and tolerance in plants. This paper reviews the effects of different concentration of Al on plant shoot, root physiological parameters s...
